Painful Ending

I love you now but,
it has to end! The
pain I feel when I
lie to my friend.
I never meant to
hurt you and break
your heart in half,
but I can't go on
like this I know its
not going to last.
I'm trying to let go,
but you keeping
holding on to me.
Can't you understand
that this just isn't
meant to be.
Please don't hate
me cause I really
do care. I know what
your thinking, your thinking,
"Its not fair"
Forgive me please
cause we can still
be friends. If not
then I guess its
really going to end.
