I miss all of you
You left before your que
Some chose death, others excepted it
Either way it leaves a void
Something I will never fill with anything else

Now I'm left with only memories
Never to have any more of you
Only the images of you all, seared in my head

Though you are missing, you have not left me empty
I still have the memories, swimming in my head

You have all bettered my existence, for that alone I will never forget you.

I will stop writing now, to save what tiny slice of sanity I have left in me
I will never forget you, any of you
Your memory shall live on in me till I lay lifeless
Until my body returns what it has taken from nature

Rest in peace those that have passed, most recently Dee 12/07/2004

    i've only had one friend to die and the closeness of another dying...it hurts, it gets to you...i know but trust that your friends watch down on you in amazement for the person you are deep down inside!! anyhow...i feel like a repeat with you but great poem!!

    well, i've never read as decent a free verse as that, it flows really well and the language is clearly on the spur of the moment, loved it, take care and keep it up :)
