Happy family

by Mild insomnia   Dec 8, 2004

Sitting at a computer I write,
Whatever’s in my head I’m gonna type,
Well not everything, cos that’s not right,
But my basic feelings deep inside.

Daddy’s here cursing and swearing,
He’s my protector, so caring,
Mummy just sits there staring,
Isn’t she just so daring?
Don’t they realise it’s my heart they’re tearing?

Smiling at them ever so happily,
Doesn’t everyone love family?
Well I love them but I’m quite sure they hate me,
I can’t do anything right, no, nothing.

His bad temper’s overwhelming,
And it’s our household that he’s helming,*
Clean your mess up! He’s yelling,
And mother dear, well she’s telling,
Me to just get on with everything.

*helm - position of leadership, fyi
