Disappear

by Jenn   Dec 9, 2004

As the light fades into the sadness in her eyes,
The darkness overpowers her dreadful disguise.
Her smile is seen as she had always feared,
A painful cover for the scars from her tears.
There is a pain inside her, feeding.
Rapidly now, she is emotionally bleeding.

Laughing, laughing all around.
Laughing, laughing at the sound.
The sound of her soul trying
To escape the sound of her desperately crying,
“Leave me here, and let me die.”
She screams as the angel inside her begins to die.

They are killing her, tearing her apart.
They have tortured, and scraped away her delicate little heart.
Little did they know, they’ve killed themselves too.
“I’ll be back!” She screams, “I’ll be back for you.”
She disappears into the darkness of the night,
And from her eyes, breaks a blinding light.

Staring intensely, they cover their faces.
They see a mirror of themselves, what a beautiful disgrace.
Blinded by the light, they wither and die.
As they lie on the floor, they hear the little girl cry,
“Thank you for uncovering my dreadful disguise.”
With this, she disappears, as does the light in her eyes.
