Queen of the Tropics

by Jacki   Dec 9, 2004

The Painted Lady called the Sorceress,
played Gypsy Music and flung Gold Dust;
while the Exotic Solar Flare was Dancing Fire
on the Dark Continent. Forgotten Love
Softly Spoke with the chill of an Artic Surprise.
Intense Passion on that Magic Mission,
Kim's Love was like a Wheel of Fortune.
she took her Dark Charm and a Wild Blueberry,
sprinkled some Fairy Dust, while Junes Dragon
lit up the sky like the Northern Lights.
The Painted Lady then took a sip of Tom Collins,
the Fire Fly flew off into the night.

    Lydia is on a roll......Soooo Close

    aahh so close i'll tell you lol

    Each capital letter is a flower: Hibiscus
    These are just so pretty. I have posted on on my website under poetry. It will be the first poem. That hibiscus is the Tom Collin. They just have such neat names i couldn't resist adding them into one of my poems. :)

    The words and languege woven into poems like this one can be enjoyed just like a painting, regardless of the meaning or intent of the writer.

    I think that the capitalized titles may be the names of different varieties of blossoming flowers. I was thinking of roses but that doesn't fit with Tropics in the title. Orchids, maybe?
