Bridge of Confidence

Build a bridge of confidence
Over the waters that led you astray.
Always look ahead
And give more than you'll ever take.
At first the bridge may be fragile.
Ready to fall at the slightest sign of doubt.
But as long as you keep building
Nothing can bring it down.
When you're ready to cross that bridge
And it comes time for the ultimate test,
Be sure you're happy with your mortal life
And allow your soul to be put to rest.
Until then..sing like no one's listening.
Love like you've felt no pain.
When others run to seek shelter
Stay out and find the beauty in the rain.
Don't just be a follower.
Take charge and lead the way.
Help others to see the good in life
And to cherish every day.
For tomorrow is promised to no one.
It's just an offering of second chance
To learn from your mistakes
And be thankful for what you have.
Before you know it the bridge will be done
And standing on its own.
You'll be able to cross it with undying faith
And your soul will be welcomed home.
