The Last 5 Seconds

by Ashamed   Dec 10, 2004

The last 5 seconds, seems like a lifetime
And I only am sure, that I will do a crime
As if anyone cared, I wouldn’t consider
What I’m about to do, what I’m to deliver

The last 4 seconds, I’ve become sure
Convinced myself now, there’s nothing more
The knife is so shiny, seducing me too
I’m ready to do it, and its all down to you

The last 3 seconds, life’s nearing end
All people I loved, I seemed to offend
This is justice, what I need for my crimes
The end is so close, my whole life now rhymes

The last 2 seconds, my life just flashed
Yet I see no fear, of ending in a smash
The pain will be quick, It’s all for the best
If only one person cared, I’d give it a rest

But wait, what’s happened? Who’s this that’s just come
She says that she cares, that this is no fun
She cries and she’s hurt, and it’s changed how I feel
Now someone cares, now this is for real.

The clock now stops, my life starts all over
Though the ending was near, I can’t cos I love her.
