A Helpless Child Reaching For Someones Hand

by Heather M Craig   Dec 10, 2004

I feel like a helpless child
reaching for someones hand
keeping confused thoughts inside,
maybe i will find the eyes and heart of someone who understands.

A lost little girl with a mind of clutter,
a heart of pieces that are black and blue,
a soul outlined in black of ashes that stain
with the questions of what to do.

I feel like a helpless child
reaching for someones hand
wanting and waiting to let the confused thoughts out
but can't find the heart and eyes of someone who understands.

*this is one of my shortest poems and i am sure you all get the meaning behind it...Please comment and vote. i will do the same for you. thanks a lot. loves.

Hmm...This is an interesting poem. I like how your third stanza dwells on the idea of being, rather the reality, of being the helpless child.

Its an interesting outcry to societ, and God. I like it. 5/5

    God Bless;)
