The Corner of My Eye

I know you see me stare at you,
Out of the corner of my eye,
But everytime you look at me,
I just want to break down and cry.

I never loved someone,
As much as I love you,
But friends we only are,
It\s the only thing that's true.

I don't want to hurt our friendship,
Over a silly little crush,
I know we're not meant to be,
So my heart will just have to hush.

You know how much I care,
But you only see me as a friend,
I'm glad I have at least that,
Hopefully it'll never end.

There is a sad side to all of this,
And it's tearing me apart,
You love my best friend,
With all of your heart.

She only likes you as a friend,
As someone to talk to,
But you just won't accept that,
You see right through.

I know I'm not as pretty as her,
And I never will be,
But whoever said that looks matter,
If only you could see.

You pour your heart out to me,
About your feelings for her,
Everytime you do that,
It makes me feel unsure.

You know how I feel,
So why do you put me through that pain?
My love that I have for you,
Is the only thing keeping me sane.

My heart wishes every night,
That one day you'll love me,
I don't think it's going to happen,
But we'll just have to see.

**Hey. I know I haven't submitted ANYTHING in such a long time, but you see I've been going through personal trauma. As in Justin, as usual. Lol. He decided to tell me how much he cares about me and all this crap...and we go out for a total of...wait for it...TWELVE HOURS. Just because I told someone we were going out, he broke it off. You know...just one time I'd like to smack him across the face and say "What the he** is your problem?" But I'm a lady so I won't do that. ;-).
