Drips

by Lady Vamp   Dec 11, 2004

Tonight my life drips,
Into the arms of someone,
Someone that doesn’t care,
No one cares any more,

Don’t pretend that I’m real,
I’ve learned I’m really not,
Nothing more then invisible ink,
Forgotten and lost,

Don’t make me feel like I’m real,
Sure I breathe and talk,
But I’m nothing anymore,
Then a dripping rag,

Lost in your arms,
I pretend you care,
For once I feel love,
As I waste away in your arms,

Even still I matter no more.
I wish I didn’t do this,
Gotten scared and stopped it,
Before I heard you scream for my life,

“I love you” escapes my dry lips,
My breath slows with the dripping,
The pain is gone and so is my life,
I am no more, I am finally happy
