Girl of Zeal

by ntv650   Dec 12, 2004

I walked alone,
High above the cities and towns
When I stopped to stare at a crowd

A beautiful young girl that stood there;
By the lake, underneath the cherry tree
Dancing and singing in the breeze
Eternally like my love for her

And spread her beauty like the wind
Stretching never-ending, overwhelming
Along the open countryside
I watched in awe the joy she shared
The love and laughter in her dance
The others in the crowd danced too, however

Her dance to me was far more beautiful
How could a man not be swayed
In such a passionate company
I gazed and gazed without thought
What wealth this miracle to me brought
As I lie here now alone

In thoughtless or pondering mood
She flashes forward from the back of my mind
Bringing peace to my loneliness
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dance with the girl I will

Hey People, those that haven't guessed already this has the same rythm and rhyme of a very famous poem and the ending is similar. Any guesses? Other than those from you Ms.T as you know the answer!
