A lonely thing

by Lushed   Dec 12, 2004

Life can be a lonely thing mother,
When death plays it's part.
It's hard to know you wont be there.
To know you can't heal my broken heart.
I wasted so much time.
Being angry and upset.
But I could hear you crying.
He never let you rest.

It's hard to be happy,
without you by my side.
It's hard to be anything,
When I'm dying of grief inside.

What if i got up?
And asked you what was wrong?
Why cant i go back?
Why do you have to be gone?

My life's now a lonely thing mother,
Because death has played its part.
Just let me hear her voice once more.
I cant stand being apart.
Let be see her face once more.
Let her help me fix my shattered heart.

    Welcome to my Favorites.

Excellent poem...I absolutle love this. Such deep pain and suffering. I love how you remark to your mother twice: "My life's now a lonely thing mother."

    A truly awesome piece. 5/5
