Sadness

Knowing how things have fallen apart
I can only wonder, what's in your heart

Through all the years and times we've had
They weren't enough, we've just grown sad

Nothing can ever fix what went wrong
No amount of talking, no amount of song

I know that well make it through the day
Knowing that we said what we needed to say

We look to the past and know what happened
We look to the future with our freedom awakened.
