Silly me to believe that the kiss meant as much to you as it did to me.
silly me to think that you were different, no tricks up your sleave.

silly me to ignore my letters balled up in the trash.
silly me to pretend that i'm first when i really was last.

silly me to believe every one of your lies.
silly me to think that i could win you in one night.

silly me to hold on to how you danced into my life.
silly me to be mesmerized by the
look in your eyes.

silly me to believe that you were the real deal.
silly me to think that love could
ever be real.
