Silence in the Darkness

by Lauren   Dec 13, 2004

Deep in the forest,
traveling an empty road,
darkness surrounds me,
heavying my load.

Here it becomes silent,
theres nothing I can hear,
but I know somethings out there,
deepening my fear.

Searching for somthing lost,
the item itself unknown,
I'm standing in the darkness,
by myself and all alone.

Out of the blackness,
comes a crimson light,
I follow it not knowing,
whether to put up a fight.

It becomes very cold here,
my heart begins to freeze,
I gaze into the fading light,
and drop down to my knees.

"Please help me light,
save my empty soul!"
Getting out of the forest,
is my one and only goal.

The light became bright,
I thought there was some hope,
but then it disappeared again,
and I wasn't able to cope.

I am wandering senselessly,
in a forest of illusions,
Never to be found again,
In dark and silent confusion.
