i thought it was forever
we told each other everything
secrets no one would believe
best friends until the end we promised each other.
as we got older i fell in love with you
something i promised myself i wouldn't do
you said that we would get married and have kids together
when we got to high school things all changed
we found out that we couldn't be apart any longer
we got together and things were great,
then she came back and ruined everything
i said i hated you but you knew it wasn't true
you came to your senses and her you out grew
sometime later after realizing that we couldn't move on.
you promised me we'd get back together,
you didn't ask me out and now i fear that we will always be apart
we belonged together.
why'd we have to fall apart?
