Shadowland

This place is not good,
This place is not right,
The darkness holds terrors,
I'm alone in the night.
Wind whips my hair,
Tears the skin from my face,
And yet I enjoy it,
I guess its personal taste,
I see bundles of flowers,
Lillies so white,
They're all that I see,
Like ghosts in the night,
The grass is so dark,
And the sky is so black,
I'm following a path,
And I cannot turn back,
The colours are fading,
Further away,
Forever alone,
In this place I'll stay,
I come to a halt,
In front of a wall,
Its stands like a shroud,
And oh so tall,
I guess I should climb it,
I don't have a choice,
I try to protest,
The wind steals my voice,
I conquer the wall,
Now I see a tree,
And high in its branches,
A glittering key.
Maybe the key,
Will show me the way,
Out of this shadow land,
And into the day,
I fall to my knees,
Moaning in pain,
My heart hangs in tatters,
Just to entertain,
Something falls from the sky,
But its not rain,
Droplets of red,
Straight from the vein,
Will I ever escape?
No not a chance,
Because I'm stuck in my head,
And I'm making myself dance.
Forever,
In misery.
