Puddles of Life

by HOLLY ARMER   Dec 14, 2004

I search for the sun in the pouring rain.
A glimmer of hope to dull the pain.

A cleansing light to chase the storm.
Giving me shelter, keeping me warm.

But darkness triumphs, the sun's not here.
And I find that I am drenched in fear.

Completely taken under by depression and strife.
As I drown within the puddles of life.

No offense, but I wasnt overly impressed with the poem, but the concluding line was good and I wished I would have thought of that title! I liked it a lot.

Lovely analogy in the end line.....I sometimes sense that life is so immense and emotional you could drown in it and be taken by the current. i love the structure, the flow, the words....another excellant poem!
