A place in you

by Nick Britt   Dec 15, 2004

I search to find a place where all peace is found, a place seaming like heaven, lifting me far up off the ground. This place I dream of is more then unknown, yet its a place I know my soul may call its home.My place is real my place is sweet,my place is what keeps me on my feet.My place is not found in a crowd of people, nor in any churches steeple. My place is not found under a big oak tree, nor found anywhere in me.I searched for this place never finding,a place known for letting go and unwinding. And yet i sit here and try to decide,I know for the sake of my soul this place can not hide.I looked in pictures Ive looked in books, Ive looked in the very source in which these thoughts are cooked.I tell you now Ive looked on TV and on the phone, Ive pleaded and begged for god to just throw me a bone.No river no road to take me to this place.Ive wished upon a shooting star,Ive prayed for this place not to be to far.Ive even collected all the lucky charms, just to tell you now that Ive found my place, held out to me by your open arms.
