Shard of Bliss, Shard of My Broken Dreams

by [Neon/] ©   Dec 15, 2004

I saw myself in you.
Your deepened placid barrier
reflecting but the smallest hint of a dampened visage.
Then the slightest drop of tears
Upon your glossy surface.

I shattered thee upon the grass
now touched with a seraphim's kiss
The dew glistening from around
Illuminating your broken pieces

And from you I extract a shard
One small memento of what was
Foretelling of what might be
But for now it means relief
Because with my sharpened memory
I may bleed more stories
to add to the falsehood we call "Living"

A slit on my arm, here, there
More stories waiting to be heard
But no thoughts from you,
your body lifeless among that green..
Crimson joining you, smudging your face

Who needs a broken mirror?

-END-

yeah... i have no clue when i wrote this... comments are appreciated.
