Discarded

Your lies bleed from your lips
Your tongue, slicing my skin
I never knew how little you could love
But now I shall begin.

You told me how you felt for me
And never wanted our time to end
You actually acted like you cared
You tried to be my friend

I knew I shouldn't have trusted
Shouldn't have given you a chance
But foolishly I considered you
And it changed the circumstance

"Come on over," you said,
"we'll have some fun."
Unknowingly did I recognize the danger
that surrounded your little pun

You told me I was beautiful
As pretty as a picture
But pictures don't speak!
They remain as motionless fixtures.

How was I supposed to know
You'd use me and leave me to die
And was i expected to know
That once for you would never satisfy?

Torture, humiliation, anger, malice
"Nothings real." you'd whisper in my ear
"I own you. You're mine.
I'm the one you've come to fear."

No one realizes what happens behind closed doors.
And should they hear a faint cry,
they ignore the truth,
letting the proof evade their eyes.

LOVE YOU TO DEATH.
