I know i never knew you
i forever wish i had
i heard so many things
not one of them was bad

ive seen all the photos
i visit your own grave
i still look after mum for you
she really is so brave

i wish you hadn't left her
i wish you'd seen me grow
everyday i think of you
i just want to let you know

at Christmas time especially
i eye others with such envy
seeing them choosing cards
with Nana on the front.

why do i miss you so
when never we have met
a kind and caring person
you, i never can forget

every year we visit your home
your grave, your place of rest
why did god take you?
why'd he take the best?
