*conversational smile* You know, I've never felt tempted cut in history class, but geopgraphy, well, that's a different story...

Your phrasing throughout this poem is really effective, great word choice, especially "From the blackness I emerge". Some of the lines could have been altered to keep a smoother flow, but other than that, well done. Congrats.

Very creative and beautifully worded. I like where you say, "Have I let pain rule my life?" Doesn't it sometimes feel like it is? Excellent poem.
