Dont know the name of this one

by Tanya, Mom of one.   Dec 15, 2004

I am back,
And not so tired,
Tho due my last two poems,
As a poet, I should be fired.

These past two days,
Have been really tuff,
My daddy had surgery,
And it was quite rough.

To the hospital,
With him I went,
Two days later,
I feel about spent.

He came thru with flying colors,
But he's in a lot of pain,
He had an aneurysm,
And a blockage in a main vein.

I love my daddy,
I've always been his little girl,
With out him I'd never made it,
As far as I have in this world.

He has always been there,
As long as I can remember,
I just wish this hadn't happened,
This month of December.

The surgery he had,
Probably saved his life,
Smoking and Drinking,
Is what caused this strife.

He is at ease now,
In the hospital bed,
I just wish it could've ,
Been me in pain instead.

Never take for granted,
Your parents or loved ones dear,
Cause they might be a time,
That they are not here.
