When did the world end?

When did the sun stop shining?
and why do the songbirds cry?
why does the grass turn gray and black?
and why are tears coming from my eyes?

Why is everybody sad?
is it because the sky turned red?
it's so hard to breath
and it's hurting in the back of my head

When did the oceans dry?
and the ground feels like it's breaking
it doesn't feel so cold outside
but I can't stop myself from shaking

why are all the mountains crumbling?
and I felt the earth quake
it left my heart pounding
I don't know much more I can take

Why did this happen all the sudden?
and why do I continue to cry?
when did the world end?
did it end because you said... goodbye?
