Mistaken Meaning,

by Daphne Darling   Dec 16, 2004

Mistaken Meaning,

As I scream out my pointless plight to you,
Your whispers barely heard above it all,
Your pointless whining’s bugging my ears,
Exploding in my face at my first miseres,

You've mistaken my meaning yet again,
Forgotten it in the rush to get out the door,
Slipping past the truth all the time won’t do,
I need something that I can hold onto,

Slipping off this slanted wall of blood,
Nothing and no one to catch me,
Why do I bother trying to make you believe,
Nothing works out how it is meant to,

You've mistaken my meaning yet again,
Forgotten it in the rush to get out the door,
Sipping past the truth all the time wont do,
I need something that I can hold onto,

Falling through all the deceit and hatred,
Pointless to try and point out your mistakes,
Standing in the crowd invisible shadows,
Random demise of souls torn apart,

You've mistaken my meaning yet again,
Forgotten it in the rush to get out the door,
Sipping past the truth all the time wont do,
I need something that I can hold onto,

With endless pleas for help nothing came,
In vain I hoped for something a little more,
Nothing to say but to say good bye to all,
Nowhere to turn everything to gain with this.
