Friends & Strangers

by Heather M Craig   Dec 17, 2004

Two strangers become friends,
it happened in the sixth grade,
approximately five years ago
meaning more than either me or you will ever know.

Seventh grade, two "best" friends are formed.
inseparable or so we thought.
The beauty of your eyes and the sweetness of your soul...
a priceless treasure that can never be sold.

We're growing into mature adults
and time keeps slipping by,
with each day, I lose you more and more
and I happen to know exactly why.

Your man's got you on that leash
but there is no reason for me to get angry
because it is not worth my time,
soon enough he'll be gone and you'll wish you still had me...

Best friends forever is what I said
but James has changed her,
it's sad to see you go in the crowd of faces,
it's sad to see two best friends turn into strangers.

(I messed up on the first one sry)Wow this poem brings a lot of feeling to it. Yeah I have friends like that too, but it's not because of their boyfriends or girlfriends though. It's cause they fall into a different crowd of people. Some i don't worry about anymore but other's i still do. I wish i can help those that fall into the wrong crowd, it really sucks to see my old friends get screwed up in life.
