The Day I Lost You

by Amanda Conaway   Dec 17, 2004

The day I lost you,
I new it was going to be so different,
I would probably see you with her,
with a smile on your face.
How could you be so cold,
so low down to do this to me?
When all i did,
was give you my everything.
While I was sitting at home being faithful and true,
you was out, lying and cheating.
Why did I not see it coming?
I should have known,
when i first heard her name.
This is all coming from my broken heart,
the heart thats still in your hands,
and forever will be.
You did me so wrong,
I wont ever be able to take you back.
I don't want to take your crap,
your temper and your anger,
your lying and your cheating.
You know what you did in your heart.
You knew that when i found out,
we would part.
I deserve someone better,
someone that can treat me right.
And wont lie to me all night.
So this is what I'm saying,
Your hung up, never gonna get me back,
even though i love you still,
We will never be us again.
Sorry but thats just the way it has to be.
Because of the way you treated me.
