Buy Some Dignity

by Your eyeliner is laughable   Dec 17, 2004

Try and make me wear your clothes,
You try to tell me,
That these skinny mindless beauties,
Are far better than me,
Try and intimidate me,
Try and make me feel so small,
But what you have is nothing,
Nothing at all,
In fact I pity you,
For giving a damn what people think,
Always trying to please the eye,
Wearing coats of fur and mink,
Spend hours with your make up,
Forever styling you hair,
But when all is said and done,
Who really cares?
You think your something special,
But that don't get you nowhere hon,
Think you've got a modelling career,
When you can't get on page 3 of the sun,
And if your dressed up like that,
Just to get a man,
And the only reason they see you,
Is the boob job and fake tan,
Then they're not really worth it,
Get some self esteem,
Your living in a bubble,
Your living in a dream,
Selling your kiss n' tell stories,
Just to earn some fame,
Is so very very stupid babe,
All its getting you is shame,
Don't be afraid to be who you are,
And if you don't listen to me,
Get your pretty head right to the shops,
And buy some dignity.

That were well thought out words to describe the pointlessness of superficiality. Way too much of it exists in today's world. Well done.
