I'm telling you

by Earthangel   Dec 18, 2004

I don't want you to go,
to fade away,
now that you came,
please,
stay.
Why do you have to go?
Life is so very unfair,
I don't want to cry,
I want to cherish the good memories, instead,
to always smile over your words of wisdom.
I want to be brave enough,
just the way you expect,
to always remember our talks,
to keep in my mind
your words of encouragement.
I want to never forget,
how high you have me in your heart,
how much you motivated me to trust myself,
to shine as a star
and to fly as high as an eagle.
Please,
listen to me,
don't go,
don't fade away,
stay with me a little bit more,
hold my hand,
tell me time will heal all the wounds,
call me POET and put a smile on my face,
let's play with words together,
words that we both love so very much!
I'm telling you,
don't go...
watch me rising from the ashes like a Phoenix,
touching the sun
and succeed!
You understand my soul so very well...
why do you have to go?
but if you
really have to go,
I still want you
to be proud of me,
know that no matter where you might be,
you'll see me flying into the sun,
you'll realize that I'm free again
cuz you know I was born to be free.
You'll know that us meeting
was never a coincidence,
that you made a difference
in my life, anyway!
And one day, for sure, we'll meet again,
a place of no more tears,
no more fears,
a place where you and I will finally meet
face to face!
