The Words

My heart is so broken
Because of the words left unspoken.
Everything I’ve wanted to say for so long now
The words need to come out but I just don’t know how.
Because I know they will hurt you
And that is one thing I don’t want to do.
I fear seeing that tear in your eye
For that is the last thing I want is to see you cry.
The way that you treat me I know it is wrong
And I should not have waited this long
To say the things I need so badly to say
Get them off my mind so I can be on my way.
Begin a new journey that is ahead for me
Oh how happy that would make me.
I would begin this journey by mending my broken heart
For that would be the best way to start.
Then I would find new love
Hopefully someone sent from above.
Finally I could be happy again
And live happily ever after until the end!!
