My Magic Box

by Ð맆îñ¥   Dec 18, 2004

I will put in my box
Rivers of lemonade cascading down
Chocolate mountains from heaven,
Entering a city of sweets.

I will put in my box
A unicorn with a lion’s roar,
A lion with a pointy horn,
A dog takings his master for a walk.

I will put in my box
A Scottish pig that speaks silly Spanish,
The thin gossamer wings as a butterfly spins,
The yellowy green sun that slowly shines.

My box is made of
Shattered glass, with cooling crystals of icy snow,
Snowflakes on the lid and happiness in the corners.
Its hinges are made from giants’ hands.

I shall ride in my box
As if on a black stallion
Over a sea of deep blue to Africa,
And then float back to England on a raft.

I think you must have used some advanced technique I don't understand in this poem which keeps me returning here again and again to re-read it. :-)

And each time I read it, I find it equally enjoyable.

This is flawless! I loved the lyrical fantasy and dreamy images you created here. Absolutely splendid! I will want to read this one many times over.
