Hopeless

by Rose   Dec 19, 2004

I've come this far,
Only to find,
Not an inkling of hope,
In my black tainted mind.

She taunts high above me,
With her grey withered face.
Her white eyes: the riddles,
Through my life wish to chase.

She fauns my weak body,
Forced onto the floor.
Her breath filled with evil,
Brings ice to my core.

She brings her cold hands,
Wrapping hate 'round my neck,
Any love from my heart,
Like a vulture to peck.

In an iced breeze,
She drains from my clutch,
Letting me finally die,
Would grant me too much,

Now here I lie,
On the ice covered floor.
Trained to the feeling,
Since I've felt it before,

My body lies limp,
A breeze flirts with my hair,
One last attempt,
Life with my soul to share,

Aware of the fate,
That awaits me here,
Along with all hope,
My body drained fear.

My heart beats a last,
A breath falls unknown,
To my black cloaked savior,
As I die here alone...
