She was always faking it,
Hiding her emotions in her lies.
She never had the courage to open up,
Instead she burned everything inside.
Pretending was so much easier besides,
Expressing her emotions would only make trouble.
She wanted peace although,
Pretending never got her there.
She was caring, unlike the rest of the world and,
Naive to think she would get anything in return.
They weren't ready for her,
In a world full of bitter hate.
Her kindness was taken advantage of,
Leaving her with the broken pieces of her heart.
She thought they where her friends,
She always trusted everyone.
She wanted to hide the pain,
She turned to the drugs.
It ruined her life,
She could have been more.
She was hurt,
But you wouldn't know,
Because she never would show
How good she was faking it.
