The story starring me

by Chelsea   Dec 19, 2004

I wrote this poem for a school project, Christmas, but It didn't turn out very christmasish, but i got a pretty good mark!!

There are Christmas feelings in the air
And they lights are shining everywhere
The sounds of children caroling
The morning doves, hear them sing?

The early morn, comes the shiver
People skating on the frozen river
Excitement, building, traveling round
Bustling, chattering, is the sound

A petty beggar on the street
Desperately looking for something to eat
A rich man, who need no more
Sees this sight, oh so sore

Tis the season for giving
And I have been so ungrateful for living
And then I see you on the street
Desperately looking for something to eat

So I reach out my hand and give you a grin
You reach out your hand so frail and thin
I help you walk the road you sought
Helped you fight the battles you have fought

And now you sit at the head of your table
On this Christmas day, and tell your fable
And your family gathers round, Johnny sits on your knee
And you tell the story, the story starring me
