Two people

This is for you
my invisible friend
the one on a computer
at the other end

This is for how two people
who've never even met each other
tell each other things
they'd never even tell their own mother

With the typing of a keyboard
and the clicking of a mouse
we find out each others feelings and thoughts
in the comfort of our very own house

We find out things about each other
we probably never would have known
we get to know each other so well
which just goes to show

How two people who've never even met
two people who feel so very close
can be the best of friends and yet
all they have are messages on a screen
and of who the other really is
they can only dream
