Merry Christmas?

by Lipton   Dec 20, 2004

I wonder as I wander out under the sky,
Why man has a problem, with you and with I.
So what? We love Jesus, why can't we express,
The love He gave, for our hopelessness.

We let the Muslims have their Allah, and the Buddhists their Buddha,
So why can't we, as Christians, dwell with our Father?

No one said you had to listen to the music,
No one said you had to set up a tree,
No one said you had to watch the specials, on tonight's TV.

No one even said you had to exchange gifts,
Or make angels in the snow,
No one said that singing, was something you MUST do.

So you choose not to, well that's just fine,
But let the ones that care, have fun with their time.
Don't infringe our rights, to worship our Christ,
Just like we won't sue you in court, for having your rights.

A prayer before a game, a cross around the neck,
Never hurt anyone, not even a speck.
So, if you hate God, then hate Him,
But let those that love Him, love Him.

Well here is a bit of encouraging news. In So. CA there is a big backlash against the growing secularization of Christmas. And this is coming from non-Christians as well. Many radio and TV broadcasters here are publicly acknowledging the origin of Christmas. They are also refusing to utter "happy holidays" and instead are wishing everyone a Merry Christmas over the airwaves.

Anyway, good work with a topic so relevant to this season. And to all, A Merry Christmas!
