Does Breathing Mean I'm Living?

I know that I am breathing
But does that mean I’m living?
With gloomy thoughts inside my head
I might as well be walking dead
To tread my days as a zombie
Is this the only path open to me?
I pray and hope for happiness
A way to leave my miserable mess
