Remember the Toad

by Seth   Dec 20, 2004

Remember the toad,
who broke a heart,
you said that he,
was not too smart.

Remember the toad,
that you despised,
but now you admire,
with your lovely eyes.

Remember the toad,
that filled you with spite,
you said what he did to her,
it was not right.

Remember the toad,
who caused you grief,
made you red,
made you grind your teeth.

Remember the toad,
that you now hold dear,
whose arms you seek,
when danger is near.

Remember the toad,
who must be a prince,
perhaps changed,
by a loving kiss.

Remember the toad,
who now is with you,
who remembers the toad,
do you, I do.
