I Couldn't Defeat Death Pt. 2

Pt. 2

I found the papers
In the family crypt.
Dust was everywhere,
Even pages that were ripped.

Skulls littered the floor.
Candles littered the tables.
I never thought anything in my family
Included such fables.

I never knew that 500 years ago,
My ancestor was a Necromancer.
He mastered it all,
And spread his magic like cancer.

He terrorized Germany.
Everyone feared him.
However, the very monster he conjured at his partner...
Made his death very slim.

I have to thank him though,
For showing me this flaw.
Now I will bring Eliza back,
And her killer will fall.

It took me years.
But I mastered the black magic.
Everyone I know lives in fear.
My doings are tragic.

I walk down the street.
Late one winter night.
Nothing is open late anymore,
As I said, they all live in fright.

It is disappointing,
I told them I wouldn't hurt them.
They never listen though,
All I want is him.

I want him to suffer.
I want him to pay.
I want him to go through
What I do day after day.

Suddenly, a scream,
It is not far away.
I growl out in anger
And in dismay.

I want to kill him more than anything,
However, I still have a good heart.
So I run toward the sound.
My self and the victim cannot be far apart!

I rounded the corner,
Running against the wind,
And stared in shock,
The woman looked like Eliza's twin!
