I Couldn't Defeat Death Pt. 4

Pt. 4

She slowly nodded,
Staring at the man.
I turned back around,
My energy warming my hand.

The ice cracked.
The cement too.
Out from the earth,
My skeletons flew.

There were only seven,
They stopped and ran.
However, nobody knew.
Each one had the strength of an adult man.

They caught Eliza's killer
Held him with ease
But, as I walked toward him,
I saw his struggling increase.

He remembered me
That much I knew.
What I was about to do to him,
He had no clue.

I had one of my skeletons
Hold my medical briefcase
I took out the scalpel
Time I would not waste.

I cut his stomach open
Not enough to damage his organs
Just enough to cause blood loss
I never thought I would do surgery again.

He cried out in agony
I smirked at this
That's what he gets
For taking my happiness.

Eliza was everything to me
My life
My air
My family.

This bastard stole it all
He made me live when I did not want to.
He made me sell my soul to the devil
Now, he can experience what I went through!

I then pinned his skin too the ground,
Pinned it through the ice.
Causing him pain
Sure felt nice.

I packed up my supplies
Left my skeletons to hold him down.
I stood up, walked back to the ally.
And found the woman laying on the ground.

She had hit her head on the ice
Blood turned it pink.
She was still alive,
Even if only on the brink

of death.
I fixed her injuries.
Took her back to my home.
Even if it was dingy.

When Eliza left me,
I refused to eat.
I lost interrest in life,
I thought I was beat.

Then I saw her,
I have to give my appreciation
If it was not for her,
I would never have completed my mission.

I no longer need to bring Eliza back
Her soul is already here
Inside the woman I saved
It is very near.

So, I murdered Eliza's killer.
I found my peace of mind.
Now, I hope to start a new beginning
With this little friend of mine.
