Winter Greetings

by Brad Champagne   Dec 21, 2004

The snow falls softly from the sky
Now that fall has passed us by.
The Christmas season's drawing near
And carols in the streets we hear,
Remember now the cheer and glee
That in this time we see.
for in our later years this scene
Will different things to us then mean.
Listen while the angels sing
And holy, gladsome tidings bring.
This season's most important worth
Is for the little Jesus' birth.
Through this hustle and bustle seeps,
Even whilst dreaming in blissful sleep,
The goodness and kindness of this earth,
A way to meet with human mirth.

    Hey me again

What a great little season poem. So earthy.

This style of poerty I find so difficult to write but you pull it off quite perfectly.

    Regards
    Hayley
