In Everlasting Grace

I’m lying here, in the grass
Looking up at the sky
Thinking about us
And wonder why…

Why I wasn’t good enough
For someone like you
Why you won’t give me a chance
Look at it from my view
Why you don’t even care
About me or my feelings so fragile
Why we never went out places
And why you left so agile
Why you liked my best friend
And seemed to hate me
Why you had always held
My heart’s key

Now you have left me alone
Leaving me with all these questions dangling
Why I hate you and love you so dearly
These thoughts making me confused and tangling

As I lay here all by myself
My eyes close, I am in my tranquil place
Where I can dream of us together again
In everlasting grace

    Thanks for commentin gon my poem! I know how you feel with the whole thing with the someone you love leaving for your best friend! I had that happen a few times!
