Sometimes it feels
like the worlds turned it's back on me
and no one really understands
I guess it's too hard for them to see

me and you were perfect
I knew it from the start
but I didn't know that in the end
you would break my heart

you were the one i turned to
when everything was going wrong
now were do I go
now that you're gone

it feels like nothing matters
and I'm pretending to be happy
I never thought it'd turn out this way
but now I know how things work exactly

nothing good will last forever
no matter how hard you try
or how bad you want it too last
it just seems to make you cry

why can't things be perfect
tears will always be there
it's what you can count on
when no one else will care

it took some time to understand
but now I know that in the end
all you've got is yourself
I've given up on what is pretend

no matter what I do
I always get let down
given up on getting up and trying again
