Hatred is What We Are

by Brianna   Dec 22, 2004

Something came from he sky
it was an angel with torn wings
she was broken and scarred all over
ripped was her harp with golden strings

The hatred of this tyrant earth
is worse then the bitter cold
and then she spoke of stories unseen
and shared what hatred unfolds

The death of her brother came to soon
she states the price you pay
when you decide to drink and drive
a friends assurance was betrayed

Her mother popped so many pills
until her mouth was numb
keeping her silent forever
the music of death the guitar strums

Rape was her fathers game, loving strength
he loved his daughter to much
and showed it in terrible ways
the night she shot him was his last touch

So messed up, mind unsteady
this girl couldn't help to deal with pain
so with that gun she played roulette
leaving a memo of "life in vein"

The more we hate, and commit our crimes
the goodness starts to die and slum
and if we do not learn to love
the bitterness and evil is what we will become
