You missed it

by kayla   Dec 22, 2004

You missed it when i was younger taking my first steps
you missed my first day of school
you missed my first christmas
Dad, you missed most my childhood
you missed it when i stepped foot on the soccer field for the first time
you missed my 5th grade graduation
you missed my 8th grade graduation
you missed it when i had the highest batting average on my softball team
you missed it when i had my first boyfriend
dad, you even missed my first birthday
you missed it when i dressed up for homecoming
you missed out on my life, dad
with all the things you missed, you have been there for support
you were there at gee-gee(88) and david'S(19) funeral
you were there when my soccer team won the championship game
you were there to see your little goalie save the game winning shot
some kids aren't that lucky
some kids don't know there real parents
some kids don't know who there dad is
and then again some kids parent died when they were young
im lucky enough to know mine
and lucky to have you
im lucky to have your support
love,
friendship,
and intelligence on life
thanks for trying to be a part of my life
