Lies

I can't look you in the eye,
and tell you I'm not sad
Cause then I'd be lying,
and I would feel really bad

But you don't even notice,
when I look away
You just go back to what you were doing,
Believing what I say

It hurts me that you don't notice,
the lies I tell each day
All the pain and suffering I go through,
You don't try to take it away

You don't see the cuts on my wrists,
Or all the tears in my eyes
You don't hear the pain in my voice,
Or any of my desperate cries

I want to shake you until you listen,
I want to kick you until you look
Hear all the lies I'm saying,
And see all the pain I've took

So please next time I tell you,
that all is fine and good
Try to see how I'm actually feeling,
and treat me like you should
