Gray Life, Red Faith, Black Truth

by Atahan Tolunay   Dec 23, 2004

Oh why did you bless me with this mournful moment?
Life’s so joyful and filled with this new torment.
You gave me everlasting pleasures of fear,
For you, I’ll cry out my last joyful tear.

Oh why did you bless me with this perpetual pain?
My soul is yours to serve you under your reign.
I’d shed my precious life to build your crown,
Give me air and then, let me drown.

Oh why did you bless me with this life?
Between us it was bound to end in strife.
I am one of your malicious creations,
Eternally breaking your expectations.

Ooh, I like this! It's short but says so much, you truly have a way with words.
    I love these lines:

"I’d shed my precious life to build your crown,
Give me air and then, let me drown."

Well done! Take care and keep it up~Holly
