Pretty Face/Ugly Body

** i sent a friend here on this site a pic of me & his exact words were, if you only reduced your weight, you would be miss universe 2005...it was meant to be a compliment i assume but obviously it wasn't one to me...it kind of hurt me because it took me back to all of the times i have been looked over because i am "fat" or been teased of my weight , ya know the words of most..."she'd be so gorgeous if she just lost all of that weight..." gets to me...heres a poem about it

I'm the girl that would be gorgeous
to all of you if I just lost all of that weight.
I'm the girl with the disgraceful body
but the girl with such a pretty face.

I've been told that ever since i was young,
gorgeous hair, pretty smile, amazing eyes
but still with a disgraceful body of shame...
I already know these things but to hear it again makes me cry.

Do you not think i see my damn reflection,
I f*c*ing know i will never be the slightest image of thin,
I will never resemble those (airbrushed) models of magazines,
I know all of these things but I doubt you know that true beauty is within.

I'm a girl who's full of beauty in heart and in mind,
i would go out of my limits to do anything for the dying world.
I dedicate my life to others in need
yet all your ignorant minds see is another f*c*ing fat girl.
