I Need Him Back

What happens when its all your fault
and your the reason he's gone
should you just try to move on
what if you still miss him after its been so long

do you call him and beg forgiveness
ask him if he still wants you
tell him you don't want it to be over
to get him back there's nothing you wouldn't do

but that's the trouble with love
it never turns out right in the end
always messing up what you had when you were just his friend

but yet everyone keeps searching
for that one that will hold them tight
and promise to never let go
their the one that makes everything right

I thought I had found that
then I just ruined it all
I don't want to get hurt
afraid to be in love so fast and afraid to fall

that's why I pushed you away
just when things were going good
I'd finally find that one
but I don't hold on when I should

maybe I shouldn't just let him go
and slam that door in my face
mad that I was a waste of time
when in my heart he's the one I still wanted to chase

and it's all my fault
instead I let him walk out
while tears fell from my eyes
I finally realized what love is all about

giving up your heart
not letting go when you've made a mistake
taking the chance
and believing it won't break

you have to trust that things will work
and hope both of your feelings stay strong
now I know I need him back
because I was just living wrong
